ORIENTAL SKETCH CHALLENGE #74

This week's Oriental Sketch Challenges #74 uses this sketch:

Here is my card:

This week there isn't much stamping but I am happy with the outcome.  The image is from MFP Stamp Shop Asian Delights set.  It was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink, cut out and mounted with dimensionals on top of a piece of designer paper from the Graphic 45 Birdsong collection which I thought was a perfect match of the Asian embossing folder from Spellbinders.

I  hope you'll play along with us this week, you can find the Oriental Sketch Challenge HERE.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

FOSTV162 - TRI FOLD CARD

This week our challenge at Friends of Speedy TV is to create a Tri Fold Card and you'll see that our Design Team has come up with a number of ways to create a tri fold card.  I chose to make a Tri Fold Pocket card.  This was the first time I've made one, it was a lot of fun and I will be making more of them.

Here is my card:

For my card this week I chose stamps from two sets; the Sun is from the Sun and Moon set and the sentiment is from the Roses set both from MFP Stamp Shop.  The sun was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic markers, cut out and adhered to the Peony Spellbinders die with dimensionals.  The Peony die was sponged with Mustard Seed Distress ink.  The scallops were cut from one of the dies from the Blueprints 3 die set from My Favorite Things.

I hope you'll play along with us this week.  You can find the Friends of SpeedyTV challenge HERE.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful week.

Here is my card:

This week I chose the Asian Delights set from MFP Stamp Shop.  The Geisha was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  After stamping and coloring I created a mask of the image and sponged Shabby Shutters Distress ink over the square.  A piece of Washi paper and adhered and the image was placed on top.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  The Cherry Blossoms die is from Cheery Lynn Designs and I used the smallest one to create the flowers which were edged with Gold 3D stamp-paint and a gold rhinestone was added to the center.

FOSTV161 - SPRING COLORS

This week our challenge at Friends of Speedy TV is to create a card using spring colors and I am so looking forward to spring.

Here is my card:

For my card this week I chose a designer paper for my background that reminded me of spring.  I used one of the flowers from the new stamp set called Gardenia which was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic markers and then cut out and I added dimensionals to pop it up.  The sentiment is from the Chrysanthemum set and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  All stamps are from MFP Stamp Shop.  The circles were cut from Spellbinders and My Favorite Things dies and the small label is also a Spellbinder die.

I hope you'll play along with us this week.  You can find the Friends of SpeedyTV challenge HERE.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful week.

FOSTV160 - UNDER THE SEA

I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge.  You are to create a card using the theme under the sea.

Here is my card:

For my card I chose stamps from a number of sets from  MFP Stamp Shop.  The fish are from Wealthy Fish, the underwater "leaves" are from Be Virtuous,  the sentiments are from both Birds of the Orient and Paper Doll Formal Wear.  For the fish, the one on the right was stamped as usual but the one on the left was stamped on a solid piece of rubber to get a mirror image.  Both fish were then cut out and adhered to the designer paper.

I hope you'll play along with us this week.  You can find the Friends of SpeedyTV challenge HERE.

Here is my card:

For my card this week I chose the Lanterns stamp set from MFP Stamp Shop.  I started by cutting the Spellbinders Diamond Effects die from white cardstock and sponged it with Spiced Marmalade Distress ink.  All images were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I stamped the lantern again on a piece of Graphic 45 Birdsong cardstock, cut it out and paper pieced it over the image.  For the background I used the Cuttlebug Lanterns embossing folder.
