This week's Tutorial Time Challenge is by Davi.  I hope you'll join us and check out the tutorial at http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com .  Follow along and create your card for a chance to win a free stamp set.
Here is my card:

For this technique, which I really enjoyed,  I used a peel & stick stencil by Plaid and Dreamweaver embossing paste.  I first sprayed some Tattered Angels Glimmer  mist on my cardstock and after it dried I added the embossing paste.  When the paste was dry I sponged it with Broken China Distress ink.  I die cut the butterfly from a Cheery Lynn Designs die and the leaves from a Spellbinders die on a piece of vellum.  I sprayed the butterfly with the same Tattered Angels Glimmer mist.  I cut a piece of cardstock into a shaped banner and stamped the sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. Lotus Blossoms stamp set.  I used 3D dots for the leaves, butterfly and banner and added pearls for accent.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by.

The stamp sets I used this week are Dragonflies and Be Virtuous from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. A piece of dragonfly Washi paper was used for the background. The three large dragonflies and the sentiment were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the small dragonflies were stamped with gold Delicata pigment ink.  The large dragonflies were colored with Copic markers and I used a Wink of Stella Brush in clear on the colored dragonflies to add sparkle.  I outlined the oval with a Uniball gold gel pen and added gold border stickers to the rectangle.

Oriental Stamp Art March Monthly Technique Challenge

This week's challenge is to create an envelope.  I used my Envelope Punch Board to make my envelope and then thought about decorating it a little differently so I went into my stash and found some embossed papers and added it to the envelope.  Then I thought I needed a card to go with it so I made a card using the same embossing folder.  I used two of Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. stamp sets for the card.  I used the water lily from the Lotus Blossoms set and the Happy Birthday sentiment from the new Birds of the Orient set which I kind of tweaked by bending it to fit the Spellbinder banner and used 3D dots to raise it all up.  I also used Spellbinders Labels One.
Here is my envelope and card:

I have added a stamped image to my envelopes many times but this really got me doing something entirely different than what I've done before and I really had fun with this challenge.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great week and get in some time to create.

Barbie

Oriental Stamp Art Weekly Challenge #261

Every Sunday Oriental Stamp Art (OSA) hosts a challenge and last week's challenge was to create a card using the sunburst technique but only on half of the card.

Here is my card:

I used four different Washi papers in shades of purple.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. Lotus Blossoms set.  The leaves are a Sizzix die cut and the flowers are a Cherry Blossoms die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I added a touch of sparkle to the leaves and flower with Viva 3D stamp paint in Moss Green-Metallic for the leaves and Violett-Metallic for the flower.  This technique is another great way to use your scrap cardstock or papers.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful crafting week.

Hugs & Blessings,
Barbie
