SPEEDY FOX & FRIENDS CHALLENGE 264

This week's challenge is to create a card with the sketch below:  You can find the  tutorial Here.

Here is my card:

For my card this week I used Spellbinders Rectangle dies to create the stencil and then sponged it with Tumbled Glass for the sky and Mowed Lawn for the grass.  For my stamps I used the Fabulous Pets set from MFP Stamp Shop.  The cat and dog were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I used a pierced die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 21 for the card base and the fence from Spellbinders.  The sun was a Martha Stewart punch called Sunburst.

SPEEDY FOX & FRIENDS CALLENGE 263

This week our challenge is to create a card with seven (7) layers.

Here is my card:

For my card this week I chose die cuts from Spellbinders and My Favorite Things for all my layers but my main image is the beautiful rose from the Roses set and the sentiment is from the Butterfly Sayings set both from MFP Stamp Shop.  The rose was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink twice and colored with Copic markers.  One of the roses was cut with a Spellbinders Circle die and the second rose was fussy cut eliminating the leaves and adhered on top with dimensionals.  The get well sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and cut with a banner die and adhered to another die both from My Favorite Things.  So there you have it seven layers: (1) folded card; (2) white cardstock cut with die cut; (3) designer paper; (4) circle die cut with stamped rose image; (5) second rose on dimensionals; (6) large rectangle along bottom; and, (7) banner with Get Well Soon!.

I hope you'll play along with us this week, you can find the challenge HERE.

SPEEDY FOX & FRIENDS CHALLENGE 262

This week's challenge is to create a background of inchies.  This is a great way to use up all those scraps.

Here is my card:

What an easy way to create a fun background.  After cutting my scraps into 1" squares it was easy to place them down for the background.  Then I used my score board to score in between each row and along the edge for added interest even though it's a little hard to see.  The flower stamp is from the new Small Flowers set and the sentiment is from an older set called Glad Glads, both from MFP Stamp Shop.  The flower was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers and the sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  The flower was cut out and adhered to the JustRite Custom Die set called Vintage Labels Seven with dimensionals.

SPEEDY FOX & FRIENDS CHALLENGE 261

This week's challenge is to create a card using strips of paper at an angle.  This was a fun and easy challenge.

Here is my card:

I started off with a white piece of cardstock and then proceeded to die cut strips of four different colors of cardstock using a die from My Favorite Things Bluebrints 3 die set.  After adhering each of the strips I used a die from Simon Says Stamp called Tri Square to leave an opening for the Mushroom Selections stamp and the Thinking of You sentiment from the Chrysanthemum set all from MFP Stamp Shop.  I laid the striped piece over a folder card and marked each square and then stamped the mushrooms and sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  The final step was to adhere the striped piece of cardstock on top of the folded card.

SPEEDY FOX & FRIENDS CHALLENGE 260

This week's challenge is to create a card with Rick Rack.  This was a fun challenge as I had never created my own rick rack out of paper and I will definitely be doing it again.

Here is my card:

For my card I chose three different colors of cardstock that I thought went well together.  After creating the rick rack I adhered it to my card base.  For my stamps I chose the larger Gardenia from the Gardenia stamp set and I chose the sentiment from the Roses stamp set both from MFP Stamp Shop.  The Gardenia was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and only the leaves were colored with Copic markers.  I cut it out and attached it with dimensionals.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I used the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush on the Gardenia but unfortunately it doesn't show.

I  hope you'll play along with us this week, you can find the Challenge HERE
