Tutorial Time on MFPSpeedyTV Challenge 111

This week is Shaving Cream Backgrounds brought to you by Lois .  I hope you'll join us and check out the tutorial HERE .  Follow along and create your card for a chance to win a free stamp set.

I have done this technique before but it's been a long, long time ago.   The frog and sentiment is from the Tree Frogs set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the shaving cream background.  I stamped the frog again on a piece of brown cardstock that had been stamped using the Plywood set in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and cut out the log and paper pieced it on.  The eyes were colored with a red Copic marker.  The background was created with the Darice Brick Wall embossing folder and the Spellbinders die I used is the Reverse Wonky Rectangle.

Here is my card:

For my card this week I used stamps from the Birds of the Orient set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. and they were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I glued the Washi paper onto a thin piece of cardbstock for stability and then cut and embossed them using Spellbinders Circle dies.  For the background I used one of the Cuttlebug embossing folders called James' Set and sponged  Broken China Distress ink very lightly over the embossing.

This technique was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be and I'll definitely be using it again.  All stamps are from the Harmony Set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The hummingbird was colored with Copic Markers and even though you can't see it I used the Wink of Stalla clear glitter brush on it.  The background was created with the Cuttlebug Scrollwork embossing folder.  The Spellbinder dies I used were the circle die and the inverted scalloped circle die.

This week's tutorial is Flower Pounding and is brought to you by Cheryl.  I hope you'll join us and check out the tutorial HERE .  Follow along and create your card for a chance to win a free stamp set.
 Here is my card:

The flowers I chose are purple Dianthus (my favorite color) and I used a piece of 140 lb. Strathmore Watercolor cold press paper.  After pounding the flowers I die cut the image using the Gold Elements One Spellbinders die and then threaded the purple ribbon through the cutout.  The sentiment is from the Glad Glads set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. and was stamped on the same watercolor paper using Memento Grape Jelly ink and cut using Spellbinders Fancy Tags One.
