SPEEDY FOX & FRIENDS CHALLENGE 281

This week's challenge is to create a card by sponging over a die cut negative to make your background.

Here is my card:

For my card I used the second largest Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangle die and sponged Mowed Lawn Distress ink very lightly on the lower portion and Broken China Distress ink on the upper portion.  The trees from the Tree Scene set and the sentiment from the Roses set both from MFP Stamp Shop were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I then used the largest Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangle die and cut out the center front of the base card.  The stamped image was then adhered to the backside of the front of the card.

I hope you'll join us this week, you'll find the challenge HERE.

SPEEDY FOX & FRIEND CHALLENGE 280

This week's challenge is to use a banner die cut.

Here is my card:

This week's card was a lot of fun.  I embossed my base with a snowflake embossing folder and then cut strips of cardstock and designer paper to form my banners.  I stamped the snowman from the Please Snow and the sentiment from the Cardinal set both from MFP Stamp Shop.  All images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the snowman and trees were colored with Copic markers.  Both the circles were cut with Spellbinders dies.

I hope you'll join us this week, you'll find the challenge HERE.

SPEEDY FOX & FRIENDS CHALLENGE 279

This week's challenge is to create a card using gold and silver.

Here is my card:

For my card this week I stamped the tree three times with VersaMark and added the silver embossing powder but I did not heat it yet.  Then I stamped the tree two more times and added gold embossing powder but again I did not heat yet.  I then stamped the last tree so it appeared as though it was closer to the front and the sentiment and then added the gold embossing powder.  Then I heated everything at the same time.  This piece was then adhered to a piece of silver foil and then on the black card base. The tree stamp is from the Big Trees stamp set and the sentiment is from the Cardinal stamp set both from MFP Stamp Shop

I hope you'll join us this week, you can find the challenge HERE.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful creative week.

SPEEDY FOX & FRIENDS CHALLENGE 278

This week's challenge is to stamp over a stencil.  You can find the tutorial HERE.

Here is my card:

This is a new technique for me so it was somewhat of a challenge but I am "kinda" happy with the results.  I chose Tim Holtz Rays stencil and used three Distress inks.  I started with Squeezed Lemonade, then Mustard Seed and finished off with Wild Honey.  After sponging I stamped three of the dragonflies from the Dragonflies set and then stamped the sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon set both from MFP Stamp Store.  All images were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I hope you'll join us this week, you can find the challenge HERE.
